The brand is called Chez Ray's Headliners' Coffee, and the four blends (Morning Brew, Turn on Your Love Lite, Load-Out and Drop Dead Dark) were created by Coffee Bean International's Paul Thornton and Chez Ray Sewell, the Dead's longtime ontour chef. The products were released online this spring and will be making their way into specialty and grocery outlets throughout the year. chefchezray.com NO MORE DOUBLE-BAGGING At the SCAA trade show in April, agricultural shipping materials company GrainPro released the SGB Forte, a 69-kilo capacity bag designed for the transport of quality coffee. Unlike previous models, it doesn't require an outer protective bag. "GrainPro has responded to coffee producers who want the quality preservation of our hermetic liner bags without having to buy another bag to protect the liner," company president Philippe Villers said in a release. "The Forte is not only stronger, but will save customers money and time." 978/371-7118. grainpro.com 60 Fresh Cup Magazine freshcup.com
